Lakshmi Menon was born on 19 May 1993 (32 Years, as of 2025) in Kochi, Kerala, India. She studied at Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram School in Thrippunithura. After that, she joined Sacred Heart College, Kochi, where she completed her graduation in English Literature. Later, in 2019, she earned a diploma in Bharatanatyam from REVA University.

Career

Lakshmi Menon entered films in 2011 when Malayalam director Vinayan noticed her during a Bharatanatyam telecast and cast her in Raghuvinte Swantham Raziya. At that time, she was in eighth grade. Soon after, she played the lead role opposite Vineeth in Ideal Couple (directed by Ali Akbar).

Her Tamil debut came in Sundarapandian (2012), directed by Prabhakaran, where she starred opposite M. Sasikumar. The same year, she acted in Kumki opposite *Vikram Prabhu. She reunited with Sasikumar in Kutti Puli and later played the role of a school teacher named Malar in Pandianadu (2013) with Vishal, which gained her much praise.

In 2014, she worked with Vishal again in Naan Sigappu Manithan and appeared in Manja Pye (with Vimal) and Jigarthanda (with Siddharth). In 2015, she acted in Komban and earned appreciation for her role. That same year, she appeared in Ajith Kumar’s Vedalam as his sister.

In 2016, Lakshmi Menon was part of two major films — Miruthan with Jayam Ravi, which was the first Tamil zombie film, and Rekka with *Vijay Sethupathi.

After a short break, she made her comeback in 2021 with Pulikkuthi Pandi, her third collaboration with director M. Muthaiah. In 2022, she took on a challenging role as a schizophrenic woman in AGP Schizophrenia. In 2023, she appeared in Chandramukhi 2, directed by *P. Vasu. Though the film received mixed reviews, her performance was appreciated.

In 2025, she played a professor in the horror thriller Sabdham, where her performance was noted for being fresh and compelling.

Rumour about Wedding with Vishal Krishna Reddy

In August 2023, rumours spread online that Lakshmi Menon had secretly married actor Vishal Krishna Reddy. The news quickly went viral, but Vishal himself clarified the truth. He posted a statement on Twitter denying all the claims and said that the news was “completely false and baseless.” He also added that he usually ignores fake news, but since this involved Lakshmi, he wanted to clear it out of respect for her personal life and dignity.

Assault and Abduction Allegations (2025)

On 27 August 2025, Lakshmi Menon was named as the third accused in a police case related to the assault and abduction of an IT professional in Kochi. According to the complaint, the incident began on 24 August after a fight at the Velocity Pub. The complainant alleged that Lakshmi’s group followed their car, stopped it near Ernakulam North Bridge, dragged him out, forced him into another vehicle, and assaulted him.

Police arrested three people involved in the case – Mithun, Aneesh, and Sonamol. Meanwhile, Lakshmi filed a counter-complaint and later applied for anticipatory bail. The Kerala High Court granted her interim protection from arrest until 17 September 2025 while the investigation continues.
