In 2018, he hosted On Road With Roadies for Roadies Xtreme and also co-hosted Splitsvilla 11 on Voot with Divya Agarwal. In 2019, he again hosted On Road With Roadies for Roadies: Real Heroes with Shruti Sinha. Later that year, he took part in Ace of Space 2 and became the second runner-up after 72 days. In 2022, he joined MTV Roadies 19 and finished in 7th place. In March 2023, Ali made his acting debut in Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya as Shaurya Luthra, alongside Paras Kalnawat and Sana Sayyad (later replaced by Adrija Roy). He announced his exit in June 2024, but he actually continued until the show ended in December 2024.
