Radhika Apte was born on 7 September  1985 in Vellore, Tamil Nadu. She completed her studies from  Tilak Nagar High School and then Radhika Apte graduated in Economics and Mathematics from Fergusson College, Pune.

When she was eight years old, she started taking training in Kathak and Rohini Bhate. After which Radhika joined a theater group, and after some time she decided to go to Mumbai to join the films. She came to Mumbai but she felt disappointed, and after some time, Radhika returned to her family in Pune. Radhika Apte told in an interview that when she was Struggle in Mumbai she would get 8 to 10,000 rupees per month. She lived in Goregaon with her roommates as a paying guest. After returning to Pune, Radhika decided to go to London for one year, where she studied London’s Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. In London, There she met her future husband Benedict. Because of her earlier experience in London, she did not want to return to Mumbai however, after one year, she returned to Mumbai.

In the year 2005, she started her acting career in the Bollywood movie “Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi!”, in the movie, he played the role of “Anjali”. After that, actor Rahul Bose told director Anirudh Roy Choudhary about her acting, and in 2009, Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury gave Radhika Apte the role of Brinda in his Bengali film Antaheen.  After this, she has acted in many films like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Bengali, and Marathi. In 2009, Radhika Apte played Rewa in the Marathi film Samaantar, and in the same year, she played the role of Savitri, a village girl in the Marathi film Gho Mala Asla Hava. After that in 2010, Radhika acted as Tina in the Bollywood movie The Waiting Room. After returning from London, Radhika Apte was offered a role in a big blockbuster production Hindi film, but she refused it, she thought she was too fat for the film’s role. In 2010, Radhika Apte played the lead role of Nandini in Rakht Charitra I and Rakht Charitra II.

In 2011, Radhika acted as Natasha in the Bollywood film I Am, and in the same year, she played the role of Sapna in the Bollywood film Shor in the City.

In the year 2012, Radhika Apte played the role of Nalini in the Tamil film Dhoni. In the same year she acted in Bhave-Sukthankar’s Marathi film “Ha Bharat Maza”, this film was inspired by Anna Hazare’s movement and the film was filmed within 14 days. In 2013, Radhika Apte played the role of Sananda in the Bengali film Rupkatha Noy, and in the same year, she played the role of Meenakshi in the Tamil film All in All Azhagu Raja. In the year 2014, she played the role of Kavita in the Marathi film Lai Bhaari.

After this, her fortune changed, in 2015 she acted many Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi films, such as Badlapur, Haram, Hunterrr, Lion, Manjhi – The Mountain Man, Kaun Kitne Paani Mein, The Bright Day, X: Past Is Present Itiadi, etc. In the year 2016, she played the role of Lajjo in the Bollywood movie Parched, and this year Radhika Apte played the lead role of Rajinikanth’s wife Kumudhavalli in the Tamil film Kabali. After the release of the film, her performance received a positive response from critics, and the film earned Worldwide 650 crores.

In the year 2017, Radhika played the role of Archana in the Bollywood film Madly. In the year 2018, Radhika played the role of Gayatri in the Bollywood comedy-drama film Pad Man, it is based on a story in Twinkle Khanna’s book The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad. This story is based on the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham of Tamil Nadu, Who had campaigned for menstruation in India.

In the year 2018, Radhika Apte also acted in several Bollywood films, as she played the role of Kalindi in Lust Stories, she played the role Sofie in Andhadhun, and Radhika played the role of Priya Rai in the Baazaar film.

In the year 2019, he played the lead role of Meghna in the Bollywood movie Bombairiya.
