Saja Kilani was born in Palestinian Jordanian. She pursued her higher education at the University of Toronto from 2016 to 2020, where she earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in International Relations with double minors in Political Science and Theatre Performance. During her time there, she developed strong skills in oral communication and analytical thinking. In 2019, she attended a summer program in Criminal Law at Worcester College, University of Oxford, where she successfully completed the program with a 4.0 GPA as part of her University of Toronto curriculum. Later, from October 2020 to April 2022, she studied Acting at the Toronto Film School, where she honed her craft in performance and video production. Her talent was recognized when she won the Best Female Performance Award at the Toronto Film School Film Festival (TFSFF) 2023 at TIFF Bell Lightbox and also received nominations for Best Directing and Best Writing

In 2025, Kilani starred as Rana Hassan Faqih in The Voice of Hind Rajab, directed by Kaouther Ben Hania and produced by Brad Pitt and Joaquin Phoenix.
